Spokane River Clean Up Day
Tree Planting at Sandifur Bridge
8 a.m. -10 a.m.


The Sandifur Bridge planting project will be in conjunction with the Spokane River Cleanup project. We invite individuals and groups to come participate in the planting early in the morning at Sandifur Bridge and then wander over for food and fun while working to clean up trash along the Spokane River and Hangman Creek in High Bridge Park.  Click here for more information.

"Write a Letter for Wilderness Party"

Historic opportunity to support Wilderness for the Colville National Forest's wild lands AND win some sweet gear!


Help The Lands Council achieve new Wilderness in the Colville in 2008! The Forest Service is deciding which parts of the Colville to recommend to Congress for wilderness, and they need to hear from you.

Here's some incentive. Take part in Conservation Northwest's letter-writing contest and win a terrific prize for best personalized letter for wilderness. Authors of hand-written letters will be eligible for a grand prize.
We'll provide free letter materials, pizza and drinks for all letter writers on     Oct. 15th. Bring your friends! You could win a great door prize from The Lands Council and Conservation Northwest.

Come for a night of Latin American-inspired food, beer, sangria, and coffee!

Learn about coffee growing, roasting and blending while sampling blends from Central and South America, including Thomas Hammer's new Colombian Eco-Brew!
